Royal Wedding

A Royal Wedding is around the corner and we cannot wait to see it! Incredibly beautiful? We think so! But what royal wedding is not?
Every royal event is a bit different than the last. You know what they say: every wedding should be unique and beautiful! We cannot say it isn’t true, we have so many examples to give. But given the story between Meghan and Prince Harry, we believe this wedding will be genuinely beautiful and more “down to Earth” if we can say that, but with just the right touch of royal thingy going on!

Even though Prince Harry is the 6th in line to the throne, he is still a royal and royal rules apply to each member of the family. This being said, the ceremony will start at 12:00pm and the couple will make their vows at St. George’s Chapel. Immediately after the ceremony, the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex as they will be called, are expected to take a two mile tour around Windsor in an Ascot Landau Carriage, greeting well – wishers.
Their wedding party will only have 200 guests (“down to Earth” we say) out of the 600 who will attend the ceremony and the Queen’s banquette, which include no politicians, family and close friends only.
Fun fact: Meghan won’t have bridesmaids, as she couldn’t choose between her best friends, she will however be surrounded by flower girls and page boys!
The wedding cake is always a sweet topic!

The couple has asked Claire Ptak, an east London pastry chef, to make an organic lemon and elderflower wedding cake incorporating "the bright flavors of spring", according to Kensington Palace. It will be covered with buttercream and decorated with fresh flowers.
And here we come closer to the style subject that we so much love!
The wedding dress!!!

All the bets were suspended, because Ralph & Russo are the favorites and given the fact that the future Duchess chose a gown signed by them for her engagement photos, we think that’s a clear clue.
On the groom’s side, the royal regiment thinks that he will wear the ceremonial uniform of the Royal Marines – as a mark of respect to the regiment he took Captain General from his Grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh.
Did you know: that royals are not allowed to wear daring shades on their nails?
The only shades accepted by the queen are: nudes, French or no color at all.
Once considered vulgar by the queen, you have to be quite the rebel not to obey her word! Either bare nails or light nudes, this is the line you mustn't cross and quite understandable taking the different situations you are put in as a royal; though they have a very well prepared schedule, emergencies and changes occur!
Take example the death of King George the 6th, Queen Elisabeth's father, while she was away and didn't have packed a simple black dress. She wore something "completely inappropriate" upon her return and was badly criticized for it.
Since then, no matter where the royals go, should always have a funeral outfit and the ladies at least 2 pairs of nude shoes.
If these are only some of the fashion and beauty rules to follow within the royal family can we actually be surprised by the fact that the Queen, the Duchess and the Princesses don't wear flashy nail polish? Quite the opposite!
However, we would like to dedicate "Queen B" to them, because we believe that sometimes, in their own palaces, they like to play with polishes and flash their nails in the mirror :)
